Father Pangratios Christley was a monk at Christ of the Hills Monastery (COTH) in Blanco, Texas. In June of 2008 he pleaded guilty to sexual assault of a 16 year old novice in 1994. The former monk was sentenced to 10 years' deferred adjudication, fined $2000, and ordered to register as a sex offender. If Christley adheres to the terms of his probation, the single charge against him will be dismissed in 2018. At the time of the crime, the former monk and his monastery were affiliated with the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
