Father Vasili Hughes was the abbot of now defunct Christ of the Hills Monastery in Blanco Texas.

In 2006 Hughes was accused of the sexual abuse of minor boys who had resided at the facility during the 1990s. At the time of the attacks, the monastery was affiliated with the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. In 2007 Hughes was convicted following a jury trial. He sentenced to 80 years in state prison.
